Weight
We explored the difference between attraction and covenant, feelings and obedience, attention and true value. Culture says desire defines you. God says identity comes from Him. Real love empowers holiness, self-control, and healthy boundaries. When we are rooted in Christ, we don’t chase validation. We choose wisely, guard our purity, and wait with confidence.
Through a symbolic act of holding physical weights, we reflected on the labels we carry and the identity God is inviting us to step into. You are not defined by who texts you, desires you, or leaves you. You are defined by who died for you.
**This message was originally shared in a highly interactive setting with youth and included moments of silence, reflection, redirection, and a symbolic weight exercise. It is edited as much as possible to make it easier to watch and listen to in this format. Because it was designed to be experienced in the room with participation and engagement, some parts may feel or sound a little different than a typical sermon recording!
