Volunteer

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

At Cross Point Church, we believe serving isn’t just something we do, it’s part of who we are. God calls each of us to be the Church, not just attend it. When we spend time with Him throughout the week, seeking Him, listening, and growing, we come ready on Sunday to serve His church with joy, humility, and purpose.
Serving flows from relationship. As we walk closely with Jesus daily, He shapes our hearts to love people well, notice needs, and step in where He’s calling us. Whether greeting someone with a smile, teaching kids, or serving behind the scenes, every role matters and every act of service makes room for God to move.
We are deeply grateful for our incredible volunteers who faithfully give their time, energy, and hearts each week. Because of their willingness to serve, lives are welcomed, kids are discipled, worship is supported, and the Gospel is shared. We truly could not do this without them and we thank God for each one.

How do I volunteer with kids?

Volunteering with CPC Kids is simple and meaningful, and you don’t have to be a teacher to help. There are many ways to serve, such as running the computer, handing out snacks, playing games with the kids, helping lead a lesson alongside a leader, or assisting children to the bathroom and back to class. Training and support are provided, and you’ll always serve as part of a team.
If you feel led to help, fill out the volunteer interest form and select which areas, and someone will follow up with next steps. Your time and care help create a safe, fun environment where kids can learn about Jesus and feel loved.

How do I volunteer with students?

Serving with CPC Youth on Wednesday nights is about showing up, building relationships, and walking alongside students as they grow in their faith. Volunteers help by engaging with students, leading or assisting in small groups, creating a safe and welcoming environment, and being a consistent, encouraging presence. You don’t need to have all the answers, just a willing heart and a desire to point students to Jesus.
Support is provided, and you’ll never serve alone. If you feel led to help, complete the volunteer form and select CPC Youth, and someone will reach out with next steps. Your presence can make a lasting difference in a student’s life.
God uses willing hearts and available people to care for His church and community. CPC Connect Serve Teams are simple ways to step in, stay connected, and serve where you feel led, both in the app and in real life.

Prayer Team (In App)
The Prayer Team is committed to covering our church, community, and prayer requests in prayer. Requests may be shared anonymously with the Prayer Team only or, with permission, with the wider CPC connect church community. This team serves faithfully behind the scenes through prayer and encouragement in a private group chat.

Connect Team (In App)
The Connect Team helps encourage and uplift others by sharing Scripture, prayers, and words of encouragement in the CPC Connect group chat throughout the week. This team helps people feel seen, supported, and connected beyond Sunday.

On Call Able Bodies Team (Hands & Feet)
The Able Bodies Team is a flexible, on-call serve team that steps in when practical needs arise. This can include helping with things like changing a tire, delivering necessities, assisting with clean-up, giving rides, helping the jail ministries teams, light construction projects, or simply providing extra hands when needed. There’s no weekly commitment, just a willingness to help when needs are shared in the private group chat and gives you the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
